The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Museum in Karachi, originally established near two historic British-era hangars at PAF Base Faisal and officially inaugurated on August 14, 1997, is a premier 30-acre military aviation complex documenting the nation's air defense heritage. The park houses over 50 retired tactical aircraft, including the iconic Vickers VC.1 Viking used by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the F-86 Sabre flown by ace pilot M.M. Alam, and an intact Indian Folland Gnat fighter captured during the 1965 war. Inside its primary archival building, structured thematic galleries display scale models, radar machinery, and weapon systems alongside dedicated Shuhada (Martyrs) exhibits honoring heroes like Pilot Officer Rashid Minhaz. Functioning as both an educational hub and a safe recreational resort for the public, the complex features a flight simulator, amusement park rides, and food courts, operating daily from 9:00 AM onwards with standard entry fees of PKR 150 for adults and PKR 50 for children, with Sundays strictly reserved for families.
