Mohammad Rizwan began his professional first-class career during the 2008–09 season playing for Peshawar, making an immediate splash by hitting five half-centuries—including four unbeaten knocks—in his first seven domestic innings. His brilliant glovework and composure with the bat caught the attention of former Pakistan cricketer Basit Ali, who recruited him to the highly successful Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) side for the 2011–12 season. Rizwan became a cornerstone of the SNGPL squad, helping them secure three Quaid-e-Azam Trophy titles in four years. His defining domestic moment came during the 2014–15 tournament final, where he played a monumental, marathon innings of 224 runs to power SNGPL to a 301-run first-innings lead and the championship title. Over more than a decade of red-ball cricket, he has established himself as a prolific run-accumulator with 131 first-class matches, scoring thousands of runs at an impressive average of 43.04.
